The Nature of Stress
As you meet the challenges of life, you will naturally feel stress in your mind and body. You feel
stress in the excitement of joy or the shock of fear. For good health and natural sleep, your mind and body
should return to a state of calm equilibrium after a stressful event has passed.
Many people do not have the opportunity or skills to recover from a stressful situation and stress
becomes chronic. If you do not have the skills to bring your mind and body back to a state of calm
equilibrium, serious health concerns and sleep problems can result.
Chronic stress diminishes your perception and distorts your perspective. Your creativity and
problem-solving skills decrease. Under the cloak of chronic stress, you lose an enjoyable connection
with people and your world; beauty and love fade.
Stress Relief Training.
Stress Relief Training gives you the skills to relax and restore a calm equilibrium to your mind
and body. Stress Relief Training re-educates your nervous system, senses, and imagination to enjoy
a deeper experience of life, beauty, and love.
In an individual Stress Relief Training session, you will gain a series of insights about the
nature of stress and relaxation. You will also be guided through a series of exercises giving you
new skills to transform stress in your mind and body.
After some practice, you will learn to work skillfully with the subtle forces that influence
you and your world. You will begin to see how the world supports your intentions and brings order
to your life.
Although Stress Relief Training is conveyed primarily through conversation, it is not psychotherapy.
